He was in Carolina when Heckler attacked him and called him something like “F**king Fascist”.
The heat in the crowd could be felt rising and they all wanted DeSantis to reply to Heckler in a way that he would remember well for the future. However, to the surprise of the whole crowd, he just stayed calm and replied, “Yeah, well, thank you, thank you.”
The crowd was taken aback by the cool reply from the Republican Presidential candidate.
And only when they all were thinking that the argument has finished before even starting properly, DeSantis decided to attack the heckler and said,
“We’re not gonna let you impose an agenda on our kids,” he said, to cheers from the Lexington crowd. “We’re gonna stand up for our kids. We’re gonna make sure to do it right.”
He further added with a lot of strength in his body language.
“Those people like that in Florida are the people we beat every single day on policy. We do not let them win. We win all these battles. We’re not letting them indoctrinate our kids, not on our watch.”
